BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :The police have arrested 16 suspects in different areas. The arrested accused included seven drug peddlers.

A spokesman for Bahawalpur police said here that police teams conducted raids at dens and arrested seven drug peddlers. The police also recovered liquor and narcotics from the possession of the accused.

"The police recovered 158 liters of liquor and 1,635 grams hashish from the possession of the suspects," he said.

He said that nine other accused were taken into custody for having illegal weapons. The police also recovered weapons from the possession of the accused including nine pistols and 38 rounds. The cases have been registered against the accused. Further probe was underway.
