The requirements for performing Umrah and Hajj are separate. For performing Umrah, citizens of South African citizens must submit documents, including a passport size photograph. 

Further, females must have a mahram with them. Marriage certificates or birth certificates for female pilgrims are essential. In the end, a vaccination certification against Meningococcal Meningitis must be attached to the application.

How Can A South African Apply For A Saudi Visa?

All South African citizens can apply for a Saudi Arabia visa directly to the Saudi Arabian embassy. Or there is another option: they can go to the Saudi Arabia e-visa service, where they can apply online for visas. The validity of such a visa is 6 months.
