Raja Muhammad Ali

Raja Muhammad Ali son of Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq was born on July 2, 1977 in Rawalpindi. He obtained the degree of LL.B from University of the Punjab, Lahore. A lawyer, who remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 2002-07 and has returned to the Punjab Assembly for the second term in general elections 2013 and has been functioning as Special Assistant to Chief Minister since 28 November 2016. He remained Chairman, Standing Committee on Planning & Development from 17-12-13 to 08-02-17. He has extensively travelled abroad and has attended various international conferences held in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. He is currently serving as Member, Executive Council World Muslim Congress. His father is a veteran politician who has served as Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Religious Affairs; as Advisor to Prime Minister on Political Affairs; and as Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt. He has been serving as Senator since 1991 and has functioned as Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition in Senate and is presently functioning as Leader of the House. He is serving as Secretary General World Muslim Congress since 1992.
