ANF Seizes 3036.078 Kgs Drugs Valuing Rs 2.44 Bln In Countrywide Strikes

Determined for establishment of a Drug Free World, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 3036.078 Kgs narcotics valuing Rs2.44 billion internationally, arrested 25 culprits involved in drug smuggling and impounded 10 vehicles conducting 26 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :Determined for establishment of a Drug Free World, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 3036.078 Kgs narcotics valuing Rs2.44 billion internationally, arrested 25 culprits involved in drug smuggling and impounded 10 vehicles conducting 26 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country.

The seized drugs comprised of 2945.83 Kg Hashish, 68.4 Kg Opium, 16.46 Kg Heroin, 2.6 Kg Methamphetamine, 1 Kg Crystal, 4000 Xanax Tabs, 3000 Diazepam Tabs and 1000 Ecstasy Tabs.

In an intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta seized 1150 Kg Hashish from general area of Kund Malir, Sub Tehsil Liyari, District Lasbella, a press release Tuesday said.

In another intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta recovered 1610 Kg Hashish from General area of Killi Dolangi, Tehsil Gulistan and District Qilla Abdullah. In third operation, ANF Quetta recovered 7 Kg Heroin from Mountainous area of Ghar Goshkaal, Tehsil Yak Mach, District Chagai. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta raided at Killi Zai Simley, Quetta and recovered 70 Kg Hashish.

As per initial information, the recovered drugs were intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang. In fifth operation, ANF Quetta recovered 12 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused indentified as Gull Muhammad resident of Quetta. He was arrested near Gol Mosque, Satellite Town, Quetta.

ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle near Takbeer Coloney, Kamra Road, District Attock and recovered 1.5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused identified as Abdul Rehman resident of Attock and Arsalan Haider resident of Sargodha. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Muhammad Shabir Khan resident of Bagh, Azad Kashmir at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 4.250 Kg Heroin, which was concealed in his trolley bag.

He was boarding for Doha by Flight No. QR-615. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Noman Khan resident of Bannu at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 870 gram Hashish from his trolley bag. He was Boarding to Bahrain by Flight No. GF-771.

In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Mehrab Shah resident of Sawabi at Shell petrol Pump, opposite Lari Adda, Attock and recovered 1.3 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.

In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car from a parking area of Islamabad International Airport and recovered 4000x Xanax Tabs (weighing 518 gram), which was concealed in travelling bag.

Resultantly two accused identified as Javed Iqbal and Saeed Ullah both residents of Lower Dir were arrested during the operation. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Bedford Truck near Chungi Number 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad and recovered 14.4 Kg Hashish and 50.4 Kg Opium which was concealed in spare tyre of the said truck.

Resultantly two accused identified as Zahid Hussain resident of Faisalabad and Nadeem Sajid resident of Toba Taik Singh were arrested during the operation.

In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Syed Paris Ali Alias resident of Islamabad and recovered 3.6 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near D Watson, Karachi Company, Islamabad.

ANF Lahore intercepted 2x Motorcycles near Anwar Chowk, Shadia Morr, Mianwali and recovered 900 grams Hashish from personal possession of the two accused identified as Asmat Ullah and Muhammad Arshad both residents of Khushab.

In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a unattended Corolla Saloon Premio Car near Gojra Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 18 Kg Opium and 49.2 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the said car.

In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested Stana Gul resident of Sawabi at Multan International Airport and recovered 1.1 Kg Methamphetamine, which was concealed in his luggage. He was boarding for Riyadh by Flight No. GF-789.

In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Expo Centre, Johar Town, Lahore and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from the door of the car. Resultantly two accused identified as Inam Ullah and Khanzada both residents of Peshawar were arrested during the operation. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore arrested Rehmat Ullah resident of Mardan at Multan International Airport and recovered 800 gram Methamphetamine, which was concealed in vegetables.

He was boarding for Saudi Arabia by Flight No. PK-715. In Sixth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a UK bound parcel from a private cargo office, located at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.1 Kg Heroin and 660 gram Hashish, which was concealed in laryngoscope (surgical Items).

In seventh operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Wagnor car near Emporium Mall, Lahore and recovered 1.7 Kg Heroin, which was concealed in 5x Cartons out of which 20x Lamps. Resultantly two accused were arrested identified as Muhammad Sikandar resident of Lahore and Asif Raza resident of Karachi.

ANF Peshawar intercepted a unattended Toyota Corolla car and recovered 8.4 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in rear seat of the said car. In another intelligence based operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Hino Troller and recovered 18 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in spare tubes laying in toll box. Resultantly two accused were arrested identified as Noor islam and Fayaz Khan both resident of Khyber Agency.

ANF Karachi intercepted a parcel from a private courier service office located at Karachi and recovered 1.010 Kg Heroin, which was concealed in Jewlery Box. In another operation, ANF Karachi arrested Javid resident of Mardan at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 700 gram Methamphetamine, which was concealed in 4x Shalwars lying in his travelling bag.

In third operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Canada bound parcel from a private courier office located at Karachi and recovered 1.5 Kg Heroin, which was concealed in 30x Lamps. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi arrested a Bangladeshi national namely Muhammad Alamgir at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 3000 Valium (Diazepam Tabs weighing 860 gram) from his luggage. He was boarding for Colombo by Flight No. UL-184.

In fifth operation, ANF Karachi arrested two accused namely Niaz Muhammad and Kaleem Ullah both resident of Quetta and recovered 1 Kg Ice Crystal and 1000 Ecstasy Tabs (weighing 410 gram) from their personal possession. They were arrested at Kosar Misala, Daria Lal Street, Joria Bazar, Karachi.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
