Govt Makes Efforts To Take Full Advantage Of GB Tourism's Potential: Minister

GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2017 ) : Minister for Tourism Gilgit Baltistan, Fida Khan Fida said here Tuesday that the government was making determined efforts to take full advantage of the tourism's potential of Gilgit Baltistan.
Talking to APP, he said unfortunately, the past regimes had paid no attention to this important sector and wasted time in mere slogans. However, he said, when the present Government took over, has accorded highest priority to tourism sector by starting scores of projects to promote tourism in this region.
Tourism sector was making rapid progress in Gilgit Baltistan due to the goal-oriented policies of Chief Minister GB and efforts are being made to attract a large number of tourists this year to explore the natural and mountainous beauty of this region, he remarked.
The people of GB had rejected politics of political jugglers in the last elections and reposed full confidence in the policies of PML-N, he said. The Minister expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Parachinar blast, saying the enemy of peace would not succeed in their nefarious designs and would not be allowed to disrupt peace of the country.
