Rain-thunderstorm With Heavy Showers Expected At Scattered Places

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Rain-thunderstorm with few heavy falls is expected at scattered places in eastern Balochistan, Sindh and South Punjab during the next 24 hours.
Down pours are likely in Balochistan at Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions, Sindh, in South Punjab at Multan, Bahawalpur and D.G Khan divisions. Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in upper Punjab, upper KP, FATA and Kashmir during this time span. Heat low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending eastwards.
Monsoon currents are penetrating in southern parts while weak monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm occurred in upper KP, FATA, upper Punjab, Zhob division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir whereas weather remained hot and humid elsewhere in the country. Rainfall recorded during this time span was KP: Dir 63mm, Malamjabba 37mm, Peshawar (City 20mm, AP 04mm), Risalpur 17mm, Kakul 10mm, Drosh 10mm, Mirkhani 6mm, Kohat 2mm, Punjab: Kamra 35mm, Mianwali 4mm, Kasur 03mm, Murree 2mm, Kot Addu 1mm, FATA: Parachinar 9mm, Gilgit-Baltistan: Bagrote 06mm, Bunji 4mm, Balochistan: Barkhan 3mm, Kashmir: Rawalakot 1mm. Maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday were Turbat 44øC, Sibbi, Dadu 42øC, Dalbandin, Nokkundi, Sukkur, Lasbella, Padidan, Rohri 41øC.
