Met office has forecast cold and dry weather with shallow foggy conditions over plain areas of Punjab while rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.

A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country.

In last 24 hours weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-hunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while drizzle occurred Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan divisions, Lasbella and Gilgit-Baltistan during this time span.

Rainfalls recorded durig this time frame was: KP: Malamjabba 22mm, Pattan 16mm, Dir (Lower16mm, Upper 01mm), Balakot 08mm, Parachinar , Saidu Sharif , Kakul 04mm, Kohat, Kalam 01mm, Punjab: Murree 15mm, Sialkot 08mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 02mm, Shamsabad 01mm), Islamabad 02mm, Kamra, Gujranwala, M.B.Din 01mm, Kashmir: Rawalakot, Garidupatta 09mm, Muzaffarabad 07mm and Kotli 01mm.

Snowfall recorded at Malamjabba, 4 inch.

Minimum temperatures recorded on Wednesday were: Skardu -02'C, Kalam -02'C,Islamabad 09'C,Quetta 03 'C, Chitral 06'C, Peshawar 12 'C, Murree 04'C.
