In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

وَالشَّمۡسِ وَضُحٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

By the sun and his brightness, ﴾1﴿

وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

And the moon when she followeth him, ﴾2﴿

وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

And the day when it revealeth him, ﴾3﴿

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۴﴾

And the night when it enshroudeth him, ﴾4﴿

وَالسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۵﴾

And the heaven and Him Who built it, ﴾5﴿

وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

And the earth and Him Who spread it, ﴾6﴿

وَنَفۡسٍ وَّمَا سَوَّاٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۷﴾

And a soul and Him Who perfected it ﴾7﴿

فَاَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُوۡرَهَا وَتَقۡوٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it. ﴾8﴿

قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ زَكّٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۹﴾

He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, ﴾9﴿

وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنۡ دَسّٰٮهَاؕ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. ﴾10﴿

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُوۡدُ بِطَغۡوٰٮهَآۙ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

(The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride, ﴾11﴿

اِذِ انۢبَعَثَ اَشۡقٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

When the basest of them broke forth ﴾12﴿

فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقۡيٰهَاؕ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink! ﴾13﴿

فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَعَقَرُوۡهَا ۙ فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ بِذَنۡۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوّٰٮهَاۙ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). ﴾14﴿

وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبٰهَا‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). ﴾15﴿
