Mainstreaming Economy Segments Vital For Enhancing Exports: FCCI

President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Syed Zia Alumdar Hussain on Friday said that different segments of economy must be brought into mainstream to expedite overall development of Pakistan in addition to enhancing national exports
Addressing a meeting of the FCCI Standing Committee on Liaison with Trade Associations here on Friday, he said that the chamber had 7,000 members and it had been advocating their legitimate demands for the last 44 years.
Regarding social corporate responsibility (SCR), he said the FCCI helped divisional administration in organising five major sports events including an International Kabaddi Tournament.
Similarly, 70,000 saplings were also provided to different government and educational institutions under 'Clean and Green Pakistan' programme, he said and added that the FCCI also donated Rs 13 million to Diamer-Basha and Mohmand dams.
Rana Sikandar Azam, chairman FCCI Standing Committee on Liaison with Trade Associations, said that a dedicated committee had already been constituted to redress problems of the new members.
Danish Fakhri, president Chiniot Furniture Association, acknowledged the importance of Faisalabad and assured that he would motivate his members as well as other businessmen from his city to get membership of the FCCI.
