In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

هَلۡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ الۡغَاشِيَةِؕ‏ ﴿۱﴾

Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? ﴾1﴿

وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

On that day (many) faces will be downcast, ﴾2﴿

عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

Toiling, weary, ﴾3﴿

تَصۡلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةًۙ‏ ﴿۴﴾

Scorched by burning fire, ﴾4﴿

تُسۡقٰى مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ اٰنِيَةٍؕ‏ ﴿۵﴾

Drinking from a boiling spring, ﴾5﴿

لَـيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنۡ ضَرِيۡعٍۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit ﴾6﴿

لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِىۡ مِنۡ جُوۡعٍؕ‏ ﴿۷﴾

Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. ﴾7﴿

وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

In that day other faces will be calm, ﴾8﴿

لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۹﴾

Glad for their effort past, ﴾9﴿

فِىۡ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۙ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

In a high Garden ﴾10﴿

لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيۡهَا لَاغِيَةًؕ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

Where they hear no idle speech, ﴾11﴿

فِيۡهَا عَيۡنٌ جَارِيَةٌ‌ۘ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

Wherein is a gushing spring, ﴾12﴿

فِيۡهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

Wherein are couches raised ﴾13﴿

وَّاَكۡوَابٌ مَّوۡضُوۡعَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

And goblets set at hand ﴾14﴿

وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوۡفَةٌۙ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

And cushions ranged ﴾15﴿

وَّزَرَابِىُّ مَبۡثُوۡثَةٌ ؕ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

And silken carpets spread. ﴾16﴿

اَفَلَا يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَى الۡاِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? ﴾17﴿

وَاِلَى السَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

And the heaven, how it is raised? ﴾18﴿

وَاِلَى الۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

And the hills, how they are set up? ﴾19﴿

وَاِلَى الۡاَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

And the earth, how it is spread? ﴾20﴿

فَذَكِّرۡؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُذَكِّرٌؕ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, ﴾21﴿

لَـسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِمُصَۜيۡطِرٍۙ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾

Thou art not at all a warder over them. ﴾22﴿

اِلَّا مَنۡ تَوَلّٰى وَكَفَرَۙ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, ﴾23﴿

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَكۡبَرَؕ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾

Allah will punish him with direst punishment. ﴾24﴿

اِنَّ اِلَيۡنَاۤ اِيَابَهُمۡۙ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾

Lo! unto Us is their return ﴾25﴿

ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُمْ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾

And Ours their reckoning. ﴾26﴿
