ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2017 ) : Rain-thunderstorm with few heavy falls coupled with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Punjab, Khaber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Federal Capital, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) while hot and very humid weather to grip other parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
Rainfall is likely in upper Punjab at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), in KP at Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu, Kohat divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rain at isolated places is forecast in D I Khan, D G Khan and Zhob divisions. Light rain/drizzle is also expected at a few places in Sindh coast during this time span. Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan.
Moist currents are penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next few days. A westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country tonight, an official of Met Office told APP.
During the last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country.
However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Upper FATA, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall recorded during this time duration was Punjab: Murree 57mm, Islamabad (Saidpur 43mm, Zero Point 27mm, Golra 19mm, Bokra 05mm), Sialkot (City 39mm, A/P 04mm), Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 25mm, Chaklala 20mm), Kamra 21mm, Gujrat 10mm, Mangla 03mm, K.P: Saidu Sharif 46mm, Kakul 28mm, Malamjabba 17mm, Balakot 11mm, Parachinar, Lower Dir 04mm, Peshawar A/P Trace, Kashmir: Kotli 28mm, Rawalakot 24mm, GB: Chillas 05mm, Bagrote 02mm, Astore, Bunji Trace and Sindh: Karachi A/P Trace.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Thursday were Bhakkar, Dalbandin , Nokkundi 44�C, Noorpur Thal 43�C. Main cities temperatures remained Faisalabad 39�C, Multan, Lahore 38�C, Chitral, Peshawar, Quetta 37�C, Muzaffarabad 36�C, Islamabad, Hyderbad 35�C, Dir, Gilgit 34�C, Karachi 33�C, Skardu 29�C and Murree 24�C.
