شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰىۙ‏ ﴿۱﴾

رات کی قسم جب (دن کو) چھپالے ﴿۱﴾

وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ‏ ﴿۲﴾

اور دن کی قسم جب چمک اٹھے ﴿۲﴾

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰٓىۙ‏ ﴿۳﴾

اور اس (ذات) کی قسم جس نے نر اور مادہ پیدا کیے ﴿۳﴾

اِنَّ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتّٰىؕ‏ ﴿۴﴾

کہ تم لوگوں کی کوششں طرح طرح کی ہے ﴿۴﴾

فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اَعۡطٰى وَاتَّقٰىۙ‏ ﴿۵﴾

تو جس نے (خدا کے رستے میں مال) دیا اور پرہیز گاری کی ﴿۵﴾

وَصَدَّقَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰىۙ‏ ﴿۶﴾

اور نیک بات کو سچ جانا ﴿۶﴾

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡيُسۡرٰىؕ‏ ﴿۷﴾

اس کو ہم آسان طریقے کی توفیق دیں گے ﴿۷﴾

وَاَمَّا مَنۡۢ بَخِلَ وَاسۡتَغۡنٰىۙ‏ ﴿۸﴾

اور جس نے بخل کیا اور بےپروا بنا رہا ﴿۸﴾

وَكَذَّبَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰىۙ‏ ﴿۹﴾

اور نیک بات کو جھوٹ سمجھا ﴿۹﴾

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡعُسۡرٰىؕ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾

اسے سختی میں پہنچائیں گے ﴿۱۰﴾

وَمَا يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىؕ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾

اور جب وہ (دوزخ کے گڑھے میں) گرے گا تو اس کا مال اس کے کچھ کام نہ آئے گا ﴿۱۱﴾

اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا لَـلۡهُدٰىۖ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾

ہمیں تو راہ دکھا دینا ہے ﴿۱۲﴾

وَاِنَّ لَـنَا لَـلۡاٰخِرَةَ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى‏ ﴿۱۳﴾

اور آخرت او ردنیا ہماری ہی چیزیں ہیں ﴿۱۳﴾

فَاَنۡذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارًا تَلَظّٰى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾

سو میں نے تم کو بھڑکتی آگ سے متنبہ کر دیا ﴿۱۴﴾

لَا يَصۡلٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الۡاَشۡقَىۙ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾

اس میں وہی داخل ہو گا جو بڑا بدبخت ہے ﴿۱۵﴾

الَّذِىۡ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾

جس نے جھٹلایا اور منہ پھیرا ﴿۱۶﴾

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الۡاَتۡقَىۙ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾

اور جو بڑا پرہیزگار ہے وہ (اس سے) بچا لیا جائے گا ﴿۱۷﴾

الَّذِىۡ يُؤۡتِىۡ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾

جو مال دیتا ہے تاکہ پاک ہو ﴿۱۸﴾

وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنۡدَهٗ مِنۡ نِّعۡمَةٍ تُجۡزٰٓىۙ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾

اور (اس لیے) نہیں( دیتا کہ) اس پر کسی کا احسان (ہے) جس کا وہ بدلہ اتارتا ہے ﴿۱۹﴾

اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ الۡاَعۡلٰى‌ۚ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾

بلکہ اپنے خداوند اعلیٰ کی رضامندی حاصل کرنے کے لیے دیتا ہے ﴿۲۰﴾

وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضٰى‏ ﴿۲۱﴾

اور وہ عنقریب خوش ہو جائے گا ﴿۲۱﴾
