ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2019 ) :The Federal capital on Saturday received rainfall with intermittently spells along cold wind which brought the mercury down.

The minimum temperature in the city was recorded as eight degree Celsius.

According to the met office, rain (with snowfall over the hills) occurred scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Quetta, Makran, Sukkur, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faislabad and Sargodha,D.G khan, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions.

Rainfall (mm) during Last 24 hours Islamabad (Zero Point 09, Saidpur 06, Golra 05) Murree 08, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad , Chaklala 03), Chakwal,Bhakkar 01,Kalam, Pattan 18, Dir, Malamjabba, Balakot 17, Lower Dir 08, Kakul 07, Chitral, Drosh 06, Mirkhani Likewise in Kashmir (Garidupatta 13, Muzaffarabad 09, Kotli 07) Balochistan (Lasbella 07, Quetta 03, Barkhan 01 Sindh (Jaccobad, Rohri 01) More snowfall over the mountains is also expected in Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the period.

However, partly cloudy weather is expected in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Snowfall inch recorded:Kalam 09, Malamjabba 07, Murree 03, Ziarat 02, Chitral 01, Bagrote, Skardu trace.

According to synoptic situation a westerly wave is still affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to move east-ward during next 12-18 hours.

Saturday minimum temperature recorded Bagrote, Gupis, Skardu -08'C, Astore -06'C, Kalam , Malamjabba -05'C, Hunza -04'C, Kalat -03'C, Drosh, Gilgit, Bunji, Parachinar and Murrree -02'C.
