Met Office Forecast Rain In Upper Areas Including Twin Cities

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Feb, 2018 ) :The met office Sunday forecast rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
Rainfall is forecast in Punjab at Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions, Federal capital, Khaber Pakhunkhwas, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, D G Khan divisions.
A westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper and central parts of the country during Sunday and may persist till Monday. During last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Bannu, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, divisions.
Light rain occurred in Peshawar, Bahawalpur, D G Khan and Karachi divisions. Rainfall recorded were; KP: Dir 27mm, Kalam 12mm, Parachinar 08mm, Mirkhani 07mm, Lower Dir 05mm, Malamjabba 04mm, Chitral 03mm, Bannu 02mm, Drosh 01mm, Balochistan: Khuzdar 11mm, Zhob 02mm, Quetta 01mm while snowfall was reported as Kalam 06 inch, Ziarat 03 inch, Malamjabba 02inch and Dir 01 inch.
Minimum temperatures recorded on Sunday were; Skardu -06�C, Parachinar -04�C, Malamjabba, Gupis -03�C, Dir -01�C. Gilgit -01�C, Murree -01�C, Quetta 01�C, Chitral 02�C, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad 05�C, Islamabad, Faisalabad 06�C, Lahore 07�C, Multan 10�C and Hyderbad, Karachi 14�C.
