میں کہ صبح ازل

جستجوئے بشر میں چلا تھا

آج تک رات دن صرف چلتا رہا

اب جو پہنچا ہوں اس دشت میں

تو یہ بوسیدہ قبروں کے مٹتے خطوط

مجھ سے کہتے ہیں

آگے

ان فصیلوں سے

کچھ ہی پرے

ایک بستی بھی آباد ہے

justuju-e-bashar mein chala tha
justuju-e-bashar mein chala tha
aaj tak raat-din sirf chalta raha

ab jo pahuncha hun is dasht mein
to ye bosida qabron ke miTte KHutut
mujh se kahte hain
aage
in fasilon se
kuchh hi pare
ek basti bhi aabaad hai
