خلعت عرش مری خاک سے بہتر تو نہیں

اک نظر دیکھ مرے دل کی طرف جان مراد

آئنہ سینۂ صد چاک سے بہتر تو نہیں

کیوں ستارے مرے قدموں کی طرف دیکھتے ہیں

یہ زمیں عالم افلاک سے بہتر تو نہیں

تہنیت جبہ و دستار کی عظمت کو بہت

یہ قبا درد کی پوشاک سے بہتر تو نہیں

تشنگی ابر سیہ کو لب حسرت سے نہ دیکھ

یہ گھٹا دیدۂ نمناک سے بہتر تو نہیں

ek nazar dekh mere dil ki taraf jaan-e-murad
aaina sina-e-sad-chaak se behtar to nahin

kyon sitare mere qadmon ki taraf dekhte hain
