ان دنوں مجھ پر گزشتہ کا اثر ہے

زندگی کی بند سیپی کھل رہی ہے

اور اس میں عہد طفلی کا گہر ہے

دل ہے راز و رمز کی دنیا میں شاداں

عقل کو ہر آن تشویش خبر ہے

اک توقف زار میں گم ہے تسلسل

لمحۂ موجود گویا عمر بھر ہے

ذہن میں روزن انوکھے کھل رہے ہیں

جن سے ان سوچی ہواؤں کا گزر ہے

فاصلے تقسیم ہی ہوتے نہیں جب

سازؔ پھر کیا سست رو کیا تیز تر ہے
