روپ بدلے گا پھر اس کا چھل اور بھی

دیکھ اے دل سنبھل تو سنبھل اور بھی

داغ آئے نظر ان کے دامن پہ کیا

وہ تو لائے ہیں گنگا سے جل اور بھی

خاک ہونا ہی عاشق کی معراج ہے

مثل پروانہ پہلے تو جل اور بھی

ان کا بچنا سمجھ لے تری موت ہے

ہیں سنپولوں کے پھن اور کچل اور بھی

صرف صحرا نہیں سبزۂ گل بھی ہیں

آرزوئیں جواں ہے تو چل اور بھی

شوق دیدار بڑھتا ہی جائے قمرؔ

لن ترانی تو سن کر مچل اور بھی

dekh ai dil sanbhal tu sanbhal aur bhi

dagh aae nazar un ke daman pe kya
wo to lae hain ganga se jal aur bhi

KHak hona hi aashiq ki mearaj hai
misl-e-parwana pahle tu jal aur bhi

un ka bachna samajh le teri maut hai
hain sanpolon ke phan aur kuchal aur bhi

sirf sahra nahin sabza-e-gul bhi hain
aarzuen jawan hai to chal aur bhi

shauq-e-didar baDhta hi jae 'qamar'
lan-tarani tu sun kar machal aur bhi
