میں کھو گیا ہوں کہاں آشیاں بناتے ہوئے

زمین بھول گیا آسماں بناتے ہوئے

ستارہ وار چمکتا ہر ایک ذرہ مرا

بکھر نہ جائے کہیں کہکشاں بناتے ہوئے

تمہارے نام پہ میں جل بجھا تو علم ہوا

کہ سود بنتا ہے کیسے زیاں بناتے ہوئے

محاذ پر ہی رہا ہوں لہو کے بجھنے تک

قلم ہوئے مرے بازو کماں بناتے ہوئے

قدم کچھ ایسا اٹھا آخری قدم کہ لطیفؔ

میں دو جہاں سے گیا اک جہاں بناتے ہوئے

zamin bhul gaya aasman banate hue

sitara-war chamakta har ek zarra mera
bikhar na jae kahin kahkashan banate hue
