جگ ہے مشتاق پیو کے درشن کا

کس کوں نیں احتیاج درپن کا

صاف دل ہے جو آرسی مانند

نت ہے حیراں جمال روشن کا

گرچہ ہونا ہے عیب پوشی جہاں

کسب کر اختیار سوزن کا

کیوں نہ ہوئے عاشقی میں خوف رقیب

ہر سفر میں خطر ہے رہزن کا

زہد زاہد ہے خوف محشر سوں

تاب نامرد کوں کہاں رن کا

خاک ہو یار کی گلی مت چھوڑ

گرچہ کچھ مدعا ہے دامن کا

صبر کر ہجر میں توں اے داؤدؔ

دیکھنا ہے اگر سریجن کا
