کیا تم وہ اداسی دور کر سکتے ہو

جو سارے آئنے توڑ دینے کے بعد

دیواروں میں گھس جاتی ہے

کیا تم وہ دھواں باہر نکال سکتے ہو

جو ساری تصاویر جلانے کے بعد

حلق میں بھر جاتا ہے

کیا تم اس گلدان کو جوڑ سکتے ہو

جو کسی جانے والے نے ہاتھ سے گرا دیا ہو

کیا تم وہ آوازیں واپس لا سکتے ہو

جو کسی موڑ کے آغاز پر غائب ہو جاتی ہیں

کیا تم کوئی ایسی چیز

ایجاد کر سکتے ہو

جس سے میں دریافت کر لی جاؤں

kya tum wo udasi dur kar sakte ho
jo sare aaine toD dene ke baad
diwaron mein ghus jati hai
kya tum wo dhuan bahar nikal sakte ho
jo sari tasawir jalane ke baad
halaq mein bhar jata hai
kya tum us gul-dan ko joD sakte ho
jo kisi jaane wale ne hath se gira diya ho
kya tum wo aawazen wapas la sakte ho
jo kisi moD ke aaghaz par ghaeb ho jati hain
kya tum koi aisi chiz
ijad kar sakte ho
jis se main daryaft kar li jaun
