آئے مشرق سے شہسوار بہت

کس کو تھا ان کا انتظار بہت

قافلوں کی کوئی خبر سی نہیں

دور اٹھتا رہا غبار بہت

صبح ہونے تک اس نے جان نہ دی

عمر بھر تھا خود اختیار بہت

پھر کوئی سانحہ ہوا ہوگا

مہرباں کیوں ہیں غم گسار بہت

کیوں ہے ہر ذرہ کربلا منظر

ہے ہمیں ان پہ اعتبار بہت

ہو گئی سب کے آگے رسوائی

کس ہنر پر تھا افتخار بہت
