یاد آتی رہی بھلا نہ سکے

نشور واحدی

یاد آتی رہی بھلا نہ سکے

شمع جلتی رہی بجھا نہ سکے

چاند تارے گل و چمن مل کر

دل کی اک داستاں سنا نہ سکے

آس باندھی تھی جن ستاروں سے

دیر تک وہ بھی جگمگا نہ سکے

نغمہ کیا مطربان عہد جدید

تار ٹوٹے ہوئے ملا نہ سکے

آج وہ رہبر خلائق ہیں

خود کو جو آدمی بنا نہ سکے

پنجۂ گل سے بھی یہ متوالے

دامن زندگی چھڑا نہ سکے

غم کے مارے ہوئے قلوب نشورؔ

درد کی سرحدوں کو پا نہ سکے

yaad aati rahi bhula na sake
shama jalti rahi bujha na sake

chand-tare gul-o-chaman mil kar
dil ki ek dastan suna na sake

aas bandhi thi jin sitaron se
der tak wo bhi jagmaga na sake

naghma kya mutriban-e-ahd-e-jadid
tar TuTe hue mila na sake

aaj wo rahbar-e-KHalaiq hain
KHud ko jo aadmi bana na sake

panja-e-gul se bhi ye matwale
daman-e-zindagi chhuDa na sake

gham ke mare hue qulub 'nushur'
dard ki sarhadon ko pa na sake
