جو اس نے کیا اسے صلہ دے

جو اس نے کیا اسے صلہ دے

مولا مجھے صبر کی جزا دے

یا میرے دیئے کی لو بڑھا دے

یا رات کو صبح سے ملا دے

سچ ہوں تو مجھے امر بنا دے

جھوٹا ہوں تو نقش سب مٹا دے

یہ قوم عجیب ہو گئی ہے

اس قوم کو خوئے انبیا دے

اترے گا نہ کوئی آسماں سے

اک آس میں دل مگر صدا دے

بچوں کی طرح یہ لفظ میرے

معبود انہیں بولنا سکھا دے

دکھ دہر کے اپنے نام لکھوں

ہر دکھ مجھے ذات کا مزا دے

اک میرا وجود سن رہا ہے

الہام جو رات کی ہوا دے

مجھ سے مرا کوئی ملنے والا

بچھڑا تو نہیں مگر ملا دے

چہرہ مجھے اپنا دیکھنے کو

اب دست ہوس میں آئینہ دے

جس شخص نے عمر ہجر کاٹی

اس شخص کو ایک رات کیا دے

دکھتا ہے بدن کہ پھر ملے وہ

مل جائے تو روح کو دکھا دے

کیا چیز ہے خواہش بدن بھی

ہر بار نیا ہی ذائقہ دے

چھونے میں یہ ڈر کہ مر نہ جاؤں

چھو لوں تو وہ زندگی سوا دے
