سر پہ آئی جو آفت وہ ٹل ہی گئی

پنڈت ودیا رتن عاصی

سر پہ آئی جو آفت وہ ٹل ہی گئی

زندگی رنج و غم سے نکل ہی گئی

لاکھ محتاط تھے دیدہ و دل سے ہم

پھر بھی ان کی نظر چال چل ہی گئی

عمر بھر ہم رہے غم سے دامن کشاں

زندگی آپ کے غم میں ڈھل ہی گئی

راز رکھا محبت کے ہر راز کو

پھر بھی یہ بات منہ سے نکل ہی گئی

چارہ سازوں کے الطاف کا شکریہ

زندگی غم کے غنچوں میں ڈھل ہی گئی

آپ نے لاکھ اس کو نہ چاہا مگر

انجمن میں مری بات چل ہی گئی

لاکھوں ہم نے کیا ضبط‌ دل پر مگر

ان کو دیکھا طبیعت مچل ہی گئی

جب بھی عاصیؔ مجھے وہ ملے راہ میں

دیکھ کر ہم کو یہ دنیا جل ہی گئی

sar pe aai jo aafat wo Tal hi gai
zindagi ranj-o-gham se nikal hi gai

lakh mohtat the dida-o-dil se hum
phir bhi un ki nazar chaal chal hi gai

umr bhar hum rahe gham se daman-kashan
zindagi aap ke gham mein Dhal hi gai

raaz rakkha mohabbat ke har raaz ko
phir bhi ye baat munh se nikal hi gai

chaarasazon ke altaf ka shukriya
zindagi gham ke ghunchon mein Dhal hi gai

aap ne lakh us ko na chaha magar
anjuman mein meri baat chal hi gai

lakhon hum ne kiya zabt-e-dil par magar
un ko dekha tabiat machal hi gai

jab bhi 'asi' mujhe wo mile rah mein
dekh kar hum ko ye duniya jal hi gai
