دل پکارا پھنس کے کوئے یار میں

دل پکارا پھنس کے کوئے یار میں

روک رکھا ہے مجھے گل زار میں

فرق کیا مقتل میں اور گل زار میں

ڈھال میں ہیں پھول پھل تلوار میں

لطف دنیا میں نہیں تکرار میں

لیکن ان کے بوسۂ رخسار میں

تھا جو شب کو سایۂ رخسار میں

تازگی کتنی ہے باسی ہار میں

فرط مایوسی نے مردہ حسرتیں

دفن کر دی ہیں دل بیمار میں

شاد ہو جاتی ہے دنیا اے روپے

کیا کرامت ہے تری جھنکار میں

آتش الفت کی دھڑکن بڑھ گئی

گر پڑا دل شعلۂ رخسار میں

آہ کے قبضہ میں ہے تاثیر یا

تیغ ہے دست علمبردار میں

نشتر مژگاں کی تیزی کے سبب

ایک کانٹا ہے دل پر خار میں

آب پیکاں پاس ہے لیکن نصیب

پھر بھی خشکی ہے لب سوفار میں

خیر ہو پرویںؔ دل مضطر مرا

لے چلا پھر کوچۂ دل دار میں
