انہی صبحوں میں وہ اک صبح نوا یاد کرو
پھول کھلنے کی دعا ہے تو دعا یاد کرو
اک تو بارش کے اترنے کی تھی اپنی آواز
اک وہ کچھ اور تھی پتوں کی صدا یاد کرو
اب وہ رت ہے کہ دریچوں میں نہ ہم ہیں نہ چراغ
کتنے اطراف سے آتی تھی ہوا یاد کرو
اب تو اس خواب کی خوشبو بھی کہیں ہو کہ نہ ہو
ہم وہ کس موج میں تھے چشم کشا یاد کرو
صبح ہونے کی ہے منت تو وہ مانو رفعتؔ
پھول کھلنے کی دعا ہے تو دعا یاد کرو

ek to barish ke utarne ki thi apni aawaz
ek wo kuchh aur thi patton ki sada yaad karo
ab wo rut hai ki darichon mein na hum hain na charagh
kitne atraf se aati thi hawa yaad karo
ab to is KHwab ki KHushbu bhi kahin ho ki na ho
hum wo kis mauj mein the chashm-e-kusha yaad karo
subh hone ki hai minnat to wo mano 'rifat'
phul khilne ki dua hai to dua yaad karo
