جو کچھ بھی آپ کہتے ہیں وہ ٹھیک ہی تو ہے

تسکین آرزو کی طلب بھیک ہی تو ہے

جب چھین لی گئی مری آنکھوں سے روشنی

دنیا مری نگاہ میں تاریک ہی تو ہے

فصل خزاں بری سہی اتنی بری نہیں

یہ آمد بہار کی تحریک ہی تو ہے

گھبرا رہا ہے دل تو تعجب کی بات کیا

منزل شعور درد کی نزدیک ہی تو ہے

عشق و ہوس میں فرق نہ کرنا کبھی کبھی

جذبات دل کی دوستوں تضحیک ہی تو ہے

اپنا سمجھ کے میں نے سنایا تھا حال دل

تم نے بھی ساتھ چھوڑ دیا ٹھیک ہی تو ہے

اس ربط ناتمام سے کچھ فائدہ نہ تھا

نیرؔ کہانی ختم ہوئی ٹھیک ہی تو ہے

jo kuchh bhi aap kahte hain wo Thik hi to hai
taskin-e-arzu ki talab bhik hi to hai

jab chhin li gai meri aankhon se raushni
duniya meri nigah mein tarik hi to hai

fasl-e-KHizan buri sahi itni buri nahin
ye aamad-e-bahaar ki tahrik hi to hai

ghabra raha hai dil to tajjub ki baat kya
manzil shuur-e-dard ki nazdik hi to hai

ishq-o-hawas mein farq na karna kabhi kabhi
jazbaat-e-dil ki doston tazhik hi to hai

apna samajh ke main ne sunaya tha haal-e-dil
tum ne bhi sath chhoD diya Thik hi to hai

is rabt-e-na-tamam se kuchh faeda na tha
