سرتاج عالم عابدی

پاتے رہے یہ فیض تری بے رخی سے ہم

گویا کہ دور ہوتے رہے زندگی سے ہم

غم دائمی ہے اور خوشی عارضی سی چیز

اس واسطے قریب نہیں ہیں خوشی سے ہم

محسوس تم سے مل کے ہوا ہم کو پہلی بار

ہیں ہمکنار آج مجسم خوشی سے ہم

اک دور تھا لکھا تھا مرے دل پہ تیرا نام

ہیں آج تیری بزم میں اک اجنبی سے ہم

جلنے سے آشیاں کے چراغاں سا ہو گیا

محروم ہو چکے تھے نئی روشنی سے ہم

ہے زندگی کی شام نہیں ہم نوا کوئی

ہر سمت دیکھتے ہیں عجب بیکسی سے ہم

تخریب کائنات ہے انسان دشمنی

سرتاجؔ کہہ رہے ہیں یہ ہر آدمی سے ہم

pate rahe ye faiz teri be-ruKHi se hum
goya ki dur hote rahe zindagi se hum

gham daimi hai aur KHushi aarzi si chiz
is waste qarib nahin hain KHushi se hum

mahsus tum se mil ke hua hum ko pahli bar
hain ham-kanar aaj mujassam KHushi se hum

ek daur tha likha tha mere dil pe tera nam
hain aaj teri bazm mein ek ajnabi se hum

jalne se aashiyan ke charaghan sa ho gaya
mahrum ho chuke the nai raushni se hum

hai zindagi ki sham nahin ham-nawa koi
har samt dekhte hain ajab bekasi se hum

taKHrib-e-kaenat hai insan-dushmani
'sartaj' kah rahe hain ye har aadmi se hum
