گرد کو کدورتوں کی دھو نہ پائے ہم

دل بہت اداس ہے کہ رو نہ پائے ہم

وجود کے چہار سمت ریگزار تھا

کہیں بھی خواہشوں کے بیج بو نہ پائے ہم

روح سے تو پہلے دن ہی ہار مان لی

بوجھ اپنے جسم کا بھی ڈھو نہ پائے ہم

دشت میں تو ایک ہم تھے اور کچھ نہ تھا

شہر کے ہجوم میں بھی کھو نہ پائے ہم

ایک خواب دیکھنے کی آرزو رہی

اسی لیے تمام عمر سو نہ پائے ہم
