تم پوچھتے ہو تم نے شکایت بھی کی کبھی
سچ پوچھئے تو مجھ کو شکایت یہی تو ہے
وعدے تھے بے شمار مگر اے مزاج یار
ہم یاد کیا دلائیں نزاکت یہی تو ہے
میرے طلب کی حد ہے نہ تیرے عطا کی حد
مجھ کو ترے کرم کی ندامت یہی تو ہے

mahfil mein log chaunk paDe mere nam par
tum muskura diye meri qimat yahi to hai
tum puchhte ho tum ne shikayat bhi ki kabhi
sach puchhiye to mujh ko shikayat yahi to hai
wade the be-shumar magar ai mizaj-e-yar
hum yaad kya dilaen nazakat yahi to hai
mere talab ki had hai na tere ata ki had
mujh ko tere karam ki nadamat yahi to hai
