باغمتی کے پاس ہی کوئی اروت گاؤں ہے
تری پراری
باغمتی کے پاس ہی کوئی اروت گاؤں ہے
جنم مرا وہیں ہوا وہ ہی تو ایک ٹھاؤں ہے
ڈیٹ تھی چار مارچ اور سال تھا وہ چھیاسی کا
پاک سی اس زمین پر میں نے رکھا جو پاؤں ہے
لوگ وہاں پہ ایسے ہیں جیسے ندی کا نیر ہو
لوگ کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جو بات کرو تو داؤں ہے
گاؤں میں کچھ درخت ہیں اور اداس عورتیں
وہ جو اداس عورتیں ہیں وہ ہی اصل چھاؤں ہے
گاؤں کے ایک چھور پر لاش مری ہے جل رہی
پاس ہی ایک پیڑ پر کاگ کی کاؤں کاؤں ہے

date thi chaar march aur sal tha wo chhiyasi ka
pak si is zamin par main ne rakha jo panw hai
log wahan pe aise hain jaise nadi ka nir ho
log kuchh aise bhi hain jo baat karo to danw hai
ganw mein kuchh daraKHt hain aur udas aurten
wo jo udas aurten hain wo hi asl chhanw hai
ganw ke ek chhor par lash meri hai jal rahi
pas hi ek peD par kag ki kanw kanw hai
