سبب کیا ہے دل کی خستہ حالی کا؟

مجھے نصابی کتابوں سے لگاؤ نہیں ہے

یہ ہی تو اشارا ہے میرے بستہ خالی کا.

مجھے میرے خیال پر قائم رہنے دو

فائدہ جانتا ہوں اپنی پختہ خیالی کا.

اور محبت سے ہم کو ڈر لگتا ہے

واہ! انداز اچھا ہے رستہ ٹالی کا.

وہ جب مسکرا کر دیکھتا ہے احتشام

تو رنگ بڑھتا ہے آہستہ آہستہ، لالی کا.
