میری لاش کے اوپر سے گزرنا ہے، تو بسم الله

میرا دل مثلِ صحرا ہے یہاں کانٹیں ہیں، پتھر ہیں

اگر پھر بھی تمہیں اس میں اترنا ہے، تو بسم الله

بہت الزام ہیں مجھ پر کسی احسان کی مانند

تمہیں بھی گر کوئی احسان کرنا ہے، تو بسم الله

اٹھانا بوجھ لوگوں کا ازل سے کام ہے میرا

تمہیں بھی بوجھ اپنا مجھ پہ دھرنا ہے، تو بسم الله

تمہیں تکلیف ہو گی گر مجھے حاصل ہوئی راحت

نمک، تم کو میرے زخموں میں بھرنا ہے، تو بسم الله

ہر اِک وعدہ گنا سکتا ہوں انگلی پر تمہارا میں

مگر وعدوں سے اب تم کو مکرنا ہے، تو بسم الله

مقفّل کھڑکیاں ہیں اور پنکھا بھی ہے رسّی بھی
