یہ سوچ جلا دی کئی غزلیں میں نے

کہ یہ لکھ دے گا کوئی سادہ دل بھی

میں تو لکھوں گا جس میں ہو درد زیادہ

جس میں ٹوٹا لگے زیادہ دل بھی

تقدیر میں شکست لکھا تھا، کاٹ کر جسے سخن کیا

شکست مجھ کو گوارا نہ تھی، سخن پر ہے آمادہ دل بھی

شیشہ گر ہیں ساتھ میرے، آو انکا ہنربھی دیکھیں

ٹوٹی پڑی ہیں چیزیں ساری، اُن میں ایک آدھ دل بھی

وہ جو آئیں تو اُنکے بن کہے، سب کہیں مجھے غلط

یہاں تلک کہ میرے اپنے، یہاں تلک کہ نمائندہ دل بھی

نعمان اُنکو دیکھ دیکھ، سنور گئے لوگ سارے

کاش کہ انکے ساتھ سے ،اُٹھا لیتا آفادہ دل بھی
