تنہائیوں کے دشت میں اکثر ملا مجھے

وہ شخص جس نے کر دیا مجھ سے جدا مجھے

وارفتگی مری ہے کہ ہے انتہائے شوق

اس کی گلی کو لے گیا ہر راستہ مجھے

جیسے ہو کوئی چہرہ نیا اس کے روبرو

یوں دیکھتا رہا مرا ہر آشنا مجھے

حرف غلط سمجھ کے جو مجھ کو مٹا گیا

اس جیسا اس کے بعد نہ کوئی لگا مجھے

پہلے ہی مجھ پہ کم نہیں تیری عنایتیں

دم لینے دے اے گردش دوراں ذرا مجھے

مشکل مجھے ڈوبنا کنارے پہ بھی نہ تھا

ناحق بھنور میں لایا مرا ناخدا مجھے

یہ زندگی کہ موت بھی ہے جس پہ نوحہ خواں

کس جرم کی نہ جانے ملی ہے سزا مجھے
