حنوط جسموں کے کارخانے میں

لاش رکھی ہوئی ہے کس کی

سفید کاغذ بدن پہ کس نے

ستم کے سب نام لکھ دیے ہیں

یہ پھول کل تک سحر کے آنگن میں کھل رہا تھا

مگر سیاہی کے تنگ حلقوں میں گھر گیا تھا!

کہ خواب زنجیر بن گئے تھے

عذاب تعبیر بن گئے تھے

کتاب کا گرد پوش جیسے شکستہ ہو کر بکھر گیا ہو

یہ کس عبارت کے دائرے اب کسی شہادت کے نامہ بر ہیں

فلک سے پوچھوں تو کیسے پوچھوں

کہ مرنے والے نے زندگی کی تلاش کی تھی

تو موت تقدیر کیوں ہوئی تھی

وہ ہاتھ کب تک قلم نہ ہوں گے

جو زرد جسموں کو نیلگوں زخم دے رہے ہیں
