ذہین لوگ محبت میں اہل دید رہے
مدد تو خوب کی اس نے مری پر ایسے کی
سمجھ لو جیسے کسی تحفے پہ رسید رہے
منانے روٹھنے کے سلسلے بھی ساتھ چلیں
سفر طویل بھی ہو دھندھ بھی شدید رہے
یہ سچ ہے عشق میں ملتے ہیں جان لیوا دکھ
ہم ایسے واقعوں کے خود بھی چشم دید رہے
تو جاتے جاتے مرے دوست کچھ تو ایسا بول
کی تیرے لوٹ کے آنے کی کچھ امید رہے
