ہم اس تمیز کے ساتھ اس کے پاس بیٹھتے ہیں
کہ جیسے شاہ کے قدموں میں داس بیٹھتے ہیں
بس ایک تو ہے جسے دوست بولتا ہوں میں
وگرنہ ساتھ میں ایسے پچاس بیٹھتے ہیں
میں اس لئے بھی کبھی کھل کے ہنس نہیں پاتا
اداس لوگ مرے آس پاس بیٹھتے ہیں
بٹھاتے وقت مجھے دل میں یہ کہا اس نے
یہ وہ جگہ ہیں جہاں لوگ خاص بیٹھتے ہیں
