تری نگاہ کا انداز کیا نظر آیا

درخت سے ہمیں سایہ جدا نظر آیا

بہت قریب سے آواز ایک آئی تھی

مگر چلے تو بڑا فاصلہ نظر آیا

یہ راستے کی لکیریں بھی گم نہ ہو جائیں

وہ جھاڑیوں کا نیا سلسلہ نظر آیا

یہ روشنی کی کرن ہے کہ آگ کا شعلہ

ہر ایک گھر مجھے جلتا ہوا نظر آیا

کلی کلی کی صدا گونجنے لگی دل میں

جہاں بھی کوئی چمن آشنا نظر آیا

سنو تو کس لیے پتھر اٹھائے پھرتے ہو

کہو تو آئینہ خانے میں کیا نظر آیا

یہ دوپہر یہ پگھلتی ہوئی سڑک باقیؔ

ہر ایک شخص پھسلتا ہوا نظر آیا
