آتش عشق سوں جو جلتا ہے

وہ سدا مثل شمع گلتا ہے

تھام کیوں کر سکوں وفور سرشک

بحر دل غم ستی ابلتا ہے

بحر دل میں ہے گرچہ گوہر اشک

صدف چشم سوں نکلتا ہے

روز بد کوئی رفیق نیں کس کا

سایہ وقت زوال ڈھلتا ہے

جب سوں روشن ہے مجھ سخن کا شمع

رشک سیتیں سراجؔ جلتا ہے

حاسدوں کے جگر میں سلتا ہے
