خلاف گردش معمول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

مدد کر شہر نا مقبول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

چلو اپنی طرف سے بند کر لو میری آنکھیں

میں اپنے آپ میں مشغول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

ترے قدموں پہ رکھ دی دیکھ یہ دستار میں نے

کہ اپنے آپ سے معزول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

میں رہنا چاہتا ہوں تیرے دامن سے لپٹ کر

سو تیرے راستے کی دھول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

صدائے لمس لب دے بھی کہ میں غنچہ سخن کا

بہت دن ہو گئے اب پھول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

توجہ ہوں مگر مرکوز دنیا پر ہوں کب سے

اب آپ اپنی طرف مبذول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

بدن کے ہاتھ کا لکھا ہوا ہوں عشق نامہ

اور اپنی روح کو موصول ہونا چاہتا ہوں

مجھے گھر بھی چلانا ہے اب اپنا فرحتؔ احساس

تو کچھ دن کے لیے معقول ہونا چاہتا ہوں
