فضل الرحمٰن
پیام شوق کو سوز اثر دے
نوا میں آگ کی تاثیر بھر دے
حکومت کا نہیں میں آرزو مند
نہ یہ کہتا ہوں جاہ و مال و زر دے
عطا کر لفظ و معنی کے جواہر
در نایاب لا ثانی گہر دے
دل تیرہ کو رکھ آگاہ فطرت
سواد چشم کو حسن نظر دے
قمر کی روشنی خورشید کی ضو
سکوت شام نغمات سحر دے
پیام شوق کو سوز اثر دے
نوا میں آگ کی تاثیر بھر دے

nawa mein aag ki tasir bhar de
hukumat ka nahin main aarzu-mand
na ye kahta hun jah-o-mal-o-zar de
ata kar lafz-o-mani ke jawahar
dur-e-nayab la-sani guhar de
dil-e-tira ko rakh aagah-e-fitrat
sawad-e-chashm ko husn-e-nazar de
qamar ki raushni KHurshed ki zau
sukut-e-sham naghmat-e-sahar de
payam-e-shauq ko soz-e-asar de
nawa mein aag ki tasir bhar de
