حالات پر نگاہ رتوں پر نظر نہ تھی

جب تک رہے چمن میں چمن کی خبر نہ تھی

خود اپنے گھر کو آگ دکھائی تھی آپ نے

اس میں تو کوئی سازش برق و شرر نہ تھی

روداد تیرہ بختیٔ احباب کیا کہیں

ان کے لئے سحر بھی طلوع سحر نہ تھی

فصل بہار میں تر و تازہ نہیں ہوا

شاید شجر کو خواہش برگ و ثمر نہ تھی

ٹوٹی ہوئی امید شکستہ تھے حوصلے

دل کی تباہیوں پہ مگر آنکھ تر نہ تھی

دشت طلب میں اتنے اندھیرے تھے کارگر

رخشندہ اک کرن بھی سر رہ گزر نہ تھی

پھر کیوں سنا دیا تھا عدالت نے فیصلہ

شاہدؔ مری گواہی اگر معتبر نہ تھی
