pahle to KHwab zehn mein tashkil ho gaya
phir sail-e-waqt mein kahin tahlil ho gaya

be-nur raston mein jo bhaTke hue the log
jugnu bhi un ke waste qindil ho gaya

kankar malamaton ke giraata hai misl-e-sang
mujh mein koi parind ababil ho gaya

waqt-e-tulua aaya gahan aaftab par
din chaDh raha tha raat mein tabdil ho gaya

tha jis ghani ke pas KHazina-e-ilm-o-fan
wo ahd-e-nau ke hath mein zambil ho gaya

apne gharon ke kar diye aangan lahu lahu
har shaKHs mere shahr ka qabil ho gaya

lauh-e-jabin pe waqt ne wo harf likh diye
chehra gham-e-hayat ki tafsil ho gaya

sad shukr 'soz' mere KHayalat ke liye
mera qalam wasila-e-tarsil ho gaya
