بیاباں سے عقیدت تھی بہت تھی

بچھڑ کر تجھ سے وحشت تھی بہت تھی

چنے پھر عمر بھر یہ زرد پتے

ہمیں غم سے محبت تھی بہت تھی

جلا کر راکھ کر ڈالا ہے دیکھو

وفا میں اس کی حدت تھی بہت تھی

ہرے کرتی رہی میں زخم سارے

مجھے آہوں سے رغبت تھی بہت تھی

بکھرنا ہو گیا تھا لازمی یوں

ترے لہجے میں نخوت تھی بہت تھی

chune phir umr bhar ye zard patte
hamein gham se mohabbat thi bahut thi

jala kar rakh kar Dala hai dekho

hare karti rahi main zaKHm sare
mujhe aahon se raghbat thi bahut thi
