وہ آ رہے ہیں وہ جا رہے ہیں مرے تصور پہ چھا رہے ہیں

کبھی ہیں دل میں کبھی جگر میں کبھی نظر میں سما رہے ہیں

جنوں نوازی ہے میری فطرت اسی سے حاصل ہے مجھ کو راحت

جو مجھ سے ہوش و خرد نے چھینا جنوں کے صدقہ وہ پا رہے ہیں

جگر کو روکوں یا دل کو تھاموں الٰہی کس کس کو میں سنبھالوں

مرے تصور کی انجمن میں وہ آج بن ٹھن کے آ رہے ہیں

لگائی دل میں کچھ ایسی تو نے یہ آتش سوزش محبت

بھڑک رہی ہے یہ اتنا پیہم ہم اس کو جتنا بجھا رہے ہیں

یہ راہ الفت کی ٹھوکریں ہیں انہیں نہ منزل سمجھ کے ٹھہرو

قدم بڑھاؤ وہ قافلہ ہے تمہارے ساتھی بلا رہے ہیں

ہیں رہروان رہ محبت نرالی رسمیں نرالی فطرت

جہاں لٹا کاروان الفت وہیں پہ منزل بنا رہے ہیں

نہ ہم کو شعر و سخن سے مطلب نہ عشرت انجمن سے مطلب

کسی کو اقبالؔ داستان غم محبت سنا رہے ہیں

kabhi hain dil mein kabhi jigar mein kabhi nazar mein sama rahe hain

junun-nawazi hai meri fitrat isi se hasil hai mujh ko rahat
jo mujh se hosh-o-KHirad ne chhina junun ke sadqe wo pa rahe hain

jigar ko rokun ya dil ko thamun ilahi kis kis ko main sambhaalun
mere tasawwur ki anjuman mein wo aaj ban-Than ke aa rahe hain

lagai dil mein kuchh aisi tu ne ye aatish-e-sozish-e-mohabbat
bhaDak rahi hai ye utna paiham hum us ko jitna bujha rahe hain

ye rah-e-ulfat ki Thokaren hain inhen na manzil samajh ke Thahro
qadam baDhao wo qafila hai tumhaare sathi bula rahe hain

hain rahrawan-e-rah-e-mohabbat nirali rasmen nirali fitrat
jahan luTa karwan-e-ulfat wahin pe manzil bana rahe hain

na hum ko sher-o-suKHan se matlab na ishrat-e-anjuman se matlab
kisi ko 'iqbaal' dastan-e-gham-e-mohabbat suna rahe hain
