طبیب کہتے ہیں جز وہم خواب کچھ بھی نہیں
تو کیا جو ہم نے سہے وہ عذاب کچھ بھی نہیں
ہماری دشت نوردی تمہارے کام آئی
تمہیں یہ کون بتاتا سراب کچھ بھی نہیں
مَیں کیا نظیر دُوں اُس کی کہ سامنے اُس کے
چراغ،ماہ ،ستارہ، گلاب کچھ بھی نہیں
تمام عمر کیا میں نے کار لا حاصل
کہ مدح حسن بتاں کا ثواب کچھ بھی نہیں
کوئی لطیف سی شے ہو تو ہم پئیں ساقی
ہم اہل دل کی نظر میں شراب کچھ بھی نہیں
اگر میں جذب نہ کر پاؤں روشنی کاشفؔ
تو ماہ کچھ بھی نہیں آفتاب کچھ بھی نہیں
