خان محمد خلیل

جب زمیں کے پیاسے ہونٹ

بوند بوند کو ترسے

اس کی کوکھ نے جب بھی

سبز بچے جننے کی آرزو میں لب کھولے

تب شفیق بادل نے

اپنی جاں کے امرت سے

اس زمیں کے سینے میں

قطرہ قطرہ رس گھولا

بے بدن دراڑوں سے

زندگی اگا ڈالی

ہاں یہ سب ہوا لیکن

کوئی آ کے بادل سے

صرف اس قدر پوچھے

تیری پیاس کا دوزخ

سرد ہے کہ جلتا ہے

bund bund ko tarse
us ki kokh ne jab bhi
sabz bachche janne ki aarzu mein lab khole
tab shafiq baadal ne
apni jaan ke amrit se
is zamin ke sine mein
qatra qatra ras ghola
be-badan daraDon se
zindagi uga Dali
han ye sab hua lekin
koi aa ke baadal se
sirf is qadar puchhe
teri pyas ka dozaKH
sard hai ki jalta hai
