اس کے کوچہ ستی غبار اٹھا
کون سا واں سے خاکسار اٹھا
عندلیبو بسا لو اب صحرا
باغ سے موسم بہار اٹھا
ہچکیاں لے گلابیاں روئیں
بزم سے جب یہ میگسار اٹھا
عزم رخصت ہوا جب ہی اس کا
میرے دل سے وہیں قرار اٹھا
نہیں جو قدر اشک عالم سے
موتیوں کا مگر وقار اٹھا
شمع سے سوز امانیؔ پوچھا ترا
اک دھواں اس کے دل سے یار اٹھا

hichkiyan le gulabiyan roen

mere dil se wahin qarar uTha
nahin jo qadr-e-ashk aalam se
motiyon ka magar waqar uTha
shama se soz 'amani' puchha tera
ek dhuan us ke dil se yar uTha
